Four levers; only on, off, on, on lights the lamp. Every wrong combination keeps it dark.
How it works, part by part
1 · Code leversEach lever strongly powers the block it sits on. The code is on, off, on, on.
2 · Digits that must be onA torch on the side of the block is lit while its lever is off, which is wrong, and powers the alarm line. Switching the lever on puts it out.
3 · Digits that must be offDust beside the block is powered while its lever is on, which is wrong, and feeds the alarm line.
4 · Alarm lineAny wrong lever powers this line. It only goes quiet when every lever matches the code.
5 · Unlock torch and lampThe torch is lit only while the alarm line is off, so the lamp lights only for the right code.
